I love fitness and helping others to achieve improvements in their lives, so becoming a personal trainer was a very good fit for me.
I've been training people from all walks of life since around 2001. Part of what I've gained from this experience is a deep understanding of how different one person can be from the next in terms of how they respond to various styles and forms of training.
For personal training to be optimal (and it ought to be optimal instead of just decent), there really needs to be an emphasis on it being "personal".
This is why I always take the time and effort to truly understand my clients' unique situations, challenges, and goals.
Once I have this information, I work like a mad scientist to produce for you a comprehensive diet and exercise program tailored to your specific needs. Then it's all about following through and taking it one day at a time – "slow and steady wins the race!"
The following are the types of training I help people with that matter most to me and keep me inspired...
1) Training seniors to stay healthy, active, and independent – It's a gift for one to be able to age well.
2) Training people to shape and beautify their bodies by building muscle and/or getting lean and toned – Looking good makes people feel better about themselves.
3) Training people to become healthier, have more energy, and offset disease and degeneration – Your health truly is your wealth.
4) Training people to achieve long-term sustainable weight loss through changing their dietary and exercise habits – Weight loss is tricky business and must be done properly for it to work long-term.
In terms of my credentials, I'm an NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist (FNS) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, which is bar none the foremost authority on educating personal trainers worldwide.
But much more importantly, I've spent decades of my life obsessively pursuing the truth about health, longevity, diet, and exercise science. I've been doing personal training for over 15 years, and I'm absolutely committed to delivering my best and producing results. I can confidently say I'm one of the best trainers in NYC and extremely qualified to assist you in achieving your health and fitness goals.
