One of my favorite specialties is working with seniors. It inspires me to see individuals who want to to remain fit later in life instead of just becoming lazy and complacent like so many do.
I'm very good at training seniors because I'm patient and cautious, but at that same time I'm keenly aware of the tremendous potential people still have well into their 60's, 70's, 80's, and beyond...for certain serious health enthusiasts.
Essentially, I will train you to be at your best, and for some of you this could very well end up being the best shape you ever achieved in your life... so I hope you'll be excited as I am to embark together on this fun, challenging, and adventurous journey!
Below is a list of the qualities that I will be working on to help you improve all areas of your fitness.
Maintain your mobility and balance
...So you always have the independence and freedom to do what you want and go where you want. Your independence and freedom is literally priceless!
Maintain and/or build your strength
...To avoid muscle atrophy and sagginess which are natural byproducts of aging... especially for people who don't do resistance training!
Develop your cardiovascular system
...To keep your heart healthy and to counteract high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Heart disease is still our nation's leading cause of death, killing 647,000 Americans each year!
Maintain your energy and stamina
...So you're always able to keep up and take part in the same activities everyone else is doing... including running wild with your grandchildren :)
Maintain range of motion in your joints
...So you're always agile and able to move freely without pain. 23% of American adults have arthritis – that's over 54 million people! Please avoid becoming one of them.
Develop good posture
...So you can stand tall and proud, and never get hunched over like so many older people do. Good strong posture makes people appear significantly healthier, more confident, and more attractive!
